The perfect simple healthy side!
- 1 head(s) broccoli cut into florets
- Optional toppings for steamed broccoli: lemon zest or juice, balsamic vinegar, vegan butter, olive oil, salt and pepper, slivered almonds, sesame seeds, nutritional yeast, vegan parmesan.
- Add about 1 inch of water to a medium pot. Bring to a boil. Once boiling add the broccoli and cover. Cook for 5 - 6 minutes until the broccoli is fork-tender but still has some crunch. Drain water squeeze and serve broccoli with any toppings you desire.
