Easy Stove Top Quinoa
Quinoa is easy to cook and is the perfect grain to pair with almost any vegetable dish.
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1 cup quinoa
- Mix the water and quinoa together in a medium saucepan. Cover, and put over medium-high heat. As soon as it starts to boil, reduce to a simmer, and continue to simmer for about 15 minutes until the water has absorbed and the quinoa has softened. Remove from heat and let rest covered for 10 minutes more. Fluff with a fork when ready to serve.
Make-ahead: allow the quinoa to cool, then store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or you can freeze it.
