Avocado Crema (Creamy, Dairy-Free & Ready in 5 Minutes)
This silky-smooth Avocado Crema is tangy, bright, and ultra-creamy thanks to fresh lime and vegan yogurt. It blends up in just 5 minutes and adds instant flavor to tacos, bowls, nachos, roasted veggies, quesadillas, and more. A must-have topping for any Mexican-inspired meal!
Servings: (makes about 1 cup)
Ingredients
- 1 large ripe(s) avocado
- ยผ cup(s) vegan yogurt (such as soy, almond, or coconut)
- 1 lime juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1 small clove(s) garlic
- ยผ teaspoon(s) salt or to taste
- 2 - 4 tablespoon(s) water to thin as needed
Instructions
- Blend: Add the avocado, yogurt, lime juice, garlic, and salt to a high-speed blender or small food processor and blend until completely smooth.
- Thin: Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired drizzleable consistency.
- Taste and finish: Taste and adjust salt and lime as needed.
Notes
Storage:Store avocado crema in an airtight container in the fridge for 3โ4 days. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before sealing the container. Stir before serving.
Double it: This recipe makes a small batch (about 1 cup), but you can easily double or triple it if you're feeding a crowd or prepping multiple meals.
